The recent establishment of a dedicated  innovation team means the brand manager roles are focussed on strategy & insights and building brand plans that deliver communication and commercial objectives.

We’re looking for an experienced Brand Manager to join our Marketing team in Auckland, representing 2 local coffee icons, Hummingbird and Jed’s Coffee.

You will be based in our East Tamaki office alongside our supportive and experienced Marketing team. This role is a great senior opportunity to work with well-known brands taking a hands on ownership role and creating real impact.

In the role you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution - Develop and implement the annual brand plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics. Own and maintain brand compass documents, adapting them for local relevance as needed.
  • Campaign & Creative Management – Lead creative development and work with agencies to deliver ATL campaigns and manage BTL activity such as sampling, sponsorships, charity partners, promotions and trade shows as required.
  • Digital Strategy – Define and execute the digital strategy, including managing our social content calendars and social agency, and supporting e-commerce with campaign support. Track and report on digital campaign performance ensuring continuous optimization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise with local and global stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and strategic alignment.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making – Utilize data sources to inform strategy and optimize execution.
  • Innovation & Product Development - Partner with the Innovation team to set brand innovation agendas, lead artwork, and drive launch support for new product initiatives.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing
  • 7+ years previous experience in Brand Manager roles, ideally for other well-known brands within FMCG
  • Previous experience working with premium/craft brands – advantageous
  • You have proven experience in delivering successful brand and category strategies
  • You have a passion for coffee and feel connected to our brands
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills – both internal and external
  • You can manage a wide range of projects and tasks at the same time
  • Valid unrestricted work visa
