Job Description

The Director of Supply Chain Commercialization role is a newly formed position that will lead a team to ensure current products, strategic programs, and NPD projects are executed in a structured, efficient manner as part of the Operations Team.  We are looking for an experienced leader with expertise in consumer products, product development, manufacturing and omni-channel sales models. The role will have oversight of Program Management, Product/Package Development, Sourcing & Procurement, and Product Master Data. Strong knowledge of managing projects requiring project management, global sourcing, and contract manufacturing is essential to success. The right person for this role has a strategic, creative mindset that can bring new ideas and processes to bear while executing on the current and future product needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Logistics, and Finance teams to understand requirements for new product launches, line extensions, and product changes and then commercializing with our 3PL partners.
  • Leading supplier partner selection activities, including RFI’s/RFP’s and contract negotiation, which deliver the best service and quality at the lowest total cost.
  • Ongoing supplier management activities – manage performance and support both account & internal working teams both during onboarding and on-going work
  • Direct sourcing efforts toward the development and execution of short- and long-term strategies to improve the supply base, reduce total cost of business, and optimize the sourcing process.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects as required by the business.
  • Manage the Project Management process to ensure Project/Program assumptions, risks (and mitigations) and opportunities are identified, monitored, and reported on to ensure flawless execution.
  • Develop and manage the product documentation process and systems, including Product Master Data in Netsuite and interfaces to connect systems (3PL’s, AMZ).
  • Identify continuous improvement and productivity opportunities across addressable spend, and lead projects to capitalize and deliver savings annually to JDE USA.

The ideal candidate has a strong, demonstrated background in supply chain and global manufacturing with experience leading a workforce. This is a hands-on role and the leader must be a proactive, action-oriented leader with the ability to quickly solve complex problems with a “make it happen” attitude and a bias to action. The candidate must be a hands-on, detail oriented analytical individual who can balance the strategic and tactical direction to drive continuous improvement and achieve organizational objectives. Additionally, the ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering results and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, operations, finance, business, or other related degree.
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain experience.
  • 5+ years of supply chain/operations related experience.
  • Proven experience utilizing NetSuite ERP.
  • Preferred experience in Integrated Business Planning process (IBP) or S&OP.
  • Strong experience in omni-channel consumer products
  • Analytical experience and knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures within a manufacturing CPG company.
